De los eventos culinarios competitivos de la región Caribe el más importante es “Taste of the Caribbean”, organizado por la Caribbean Hotels & Tourism. Se realiza todos los años en Miami y se compite en diversas categorías tanto por equipos como individuales.  Se premia, entre otros,  al mejor equipo de cocina, al mejor chef y al mejor bartender del Caribe. La última edición culminó el pasado 30 de junio, a continuación el listado completo de las categorías y sus ganadores.
